Tiffin Empress Twilight and Green Glass Floor Vase
Large glass floor vase made in the early 1960’s by Tiffin glass, a very elegant and popular American glass maker of the mid-20th century. Rarely seen glass floor vase, especially in this color combo.
Twilight and Green was one of 6 color combinations used on the Empress line. Twilight is a light purple amethyst that tends to change hues slightly in different lights. The green is a deep dark blue/green.
Blown from a 10 rib optic mold, then hand swung and heat finished. Polished flat bottom. Seamless color integration. Beautiful.
HUGE glass floor vase. Stands a tad over 15″ tall. HEAVY. Weighs 5.25 lbs. Impressive and sturdy. QUALITY thick glass. Tiffin’s glass quality was upscale. Beautiful translucent velvety glass.
