Description
Vintage glass canister in olive green by Imperial Glass, USA
Imperial Hobstar vintage glass canister, cracker or cookie jar. It’s great for any type of dry food storage item, and vanity items too. Also useful at the bar for cocktail fruit, etc.
This pattern appeared in Imperial’s catalogs around 1912. Imperial, in business form 1901 to 1984, re-issued many of their antique patterns. This jar was made in the 1950’s to 1970’s. On the inside center of the base, Imperial’s ‘I’ superimposed over a ‘G’ mark is impressed into the glass. This mark was used from 1951 to 1972.
It is in excellent condition. Beautiful, heavy vintage glass. Stands 6″ tall on a 3½” wide base. Weighs 1½ lbs. Beautiful, bright olive green color.[color-box]More About Imperial Glass[/color-box]
