Cranberry Glass Drape Optic Punch Set
Party punch bowl stunner with ten roly poly tumblers. Beautiful cranberry stained drape optic glassware. The glass was blown from an optic mold (ribbing can be felt on the inside). Then it was overlayed with a cranberry stain which contains real gold. Gold was used to obtain the beautiful dark pink color. It reflects and shimmers within the color and you can see the gold shimmer.
The bottom of each piece was not stained. This was done because the cranberry stain will not hold-up to continuous surface scratching. The stain is in excellent, beautiful condition except for two unseen areas where the stain overflowed onto the bottoms and has worn from surface wear. This very light wear is on the bases (bottom) of two the roly polys. The glass is in excellent condition. The stain is uniform and bright. There are no spots on the stain, the whitish spots in the images below are reflections from camera lighting. Roly Polys are hard to knock over, great for parties. This punch set would provide a focal point for any style of party.
Huge bowl measures 10″ round and 6.5″ tall. The punch cups are 3″ wide and 2.5″ tall. Comes with 10 punch cups/roly poly’s.
The decor, form and optic is very Victorian, but may have been made in the Art Deco years. Maker unknown.
