Table Glass

Until the late 1800’s only the very wealthy could afford to have glassware upon the dining table. The early 1900’s brought mechanization which allowed every-day folk to afford glass dinnerware. Through the Depression era, glass was made very inexpensively and tables could be dressed with glassware retrieved from soap boxes. The 1950’s through 1970’s brought high quality, creative and affordable glass back to the tables. Table glass from the past is fun to collect and use.
