Black Glass

True black glass was one of the most difficult colors for glass makers to mix. Before the 1930’s black colored glass was made with extreme dark greens, purples or reds. True opaque black colored glass was achieved around the time of the Great Depression, but the use of dense colors to emulate black has continued to this day. Black is a great accent color, easily fitting in to most color schemes.
