Mid-Century Hand-Made Italian Art Glass
Mesmerizing art glass cased in canary yellow and colorless crystal with layers of fine gold and silver veil sandwiched between. A beautiful bowl with multiple uses.
Made in the 1950s when Sophia Loren made the rich beauty of Venetian/Italian styles so popular in the U.S. The actual artist is unknown as this is not signed, but it does have its original worn label which reads “Genuine Venetian Glass Handmade in Murano”. The sticker dates to the 1950s. Certainly came from one of the better glass houses like Salviati or Barbini. Lovely color combination.
